Looking at the city

Subject: Looking at the city Wed Jan 18, 2012 11:29 pm

I walked around the city streets taking in everything. This was my new home, my place to start over and become what my mom wanted to be. I looked at all the buildings and shops knowing that I could come back to these stores and enjoy them because I live here now. I walked farther down the street and stopped by a window showing off some beautiful dresses. Once I figure out what I want to do with my life I could buy one of these.

Damian was just walking down the shops with his head bowed down. He could not get his watch to start again from the incident of it getting wet. Just as he looked straight to the path, he suddenly bumped a girl.

"Sorry" Damian exclaimed. That was the only word that went out from his lips. He was new and didn't knew most of the people though.

"Sorry about that, again" he said. "Are you alright?"

As I was looking at the dresses I felt someone bump into me. He said sorry and I laughed. "I'm fine don't worry about I wasn't really paying attention anyway. " I said to him. He looked a bit nervous. "Really I'm fine." I smiled

"Oh great" He sighed in relief as he put his hand on his chest.

"So, uhhmmm" Damian paused " You new here?" he asked trying to make a conversation with her. He really was just at the same time shy and embarrassed since he didn't even knew the girl and he suddenly talks to her.

Damian stuck his hands in pockets ignoring the fact that his newly-bought watch was mostly destroyed and all wet.

"Yea, just moved here about a week ago from L.A . You?" I asked him. He seemed really nice but a nervous wreck, hopefully he sees I'm a nice person.

"Same here. Just trying to settle down and all. " Damian replied with a smile.
"Names Damian Cliff, by the way" he said extending out his hand for a shake.
It was great to have met a few people who were also new here, at least he's not the only one.

"Miranda Gonzalez, nice to meet you Damian." I said shaking his hand and smiling. I was happy I got to finally meet someone who was also new like me, it made starting over easier.
